Shipping

Lead Time

Once the order has been placed and confirmed. It will take an approximate 3 to 4 weeks (depending on the equipment and also the # of units ordered) for delivery.  You shall be informed few days before the shipment is ready and a suitable shipping date shall be arranged. We shall also notify you when the product has been shipped out and of the approximate arrival date of the shipment.

Standard Shipping Practice

We offer both road and rail shipping (wherever available and applicable) for your orders.  Road is faster and rail is generally slower and cheaper. Our standard delivery is curb-side delivery, this means that the ordered products would be delivered to the curb-side and you will have the responsibility of unloading and receiving the shipment.  Assembling any items in any shipments will be entirely your responsibility.  Be advised that the shipment will be heavy and may usually require more than 1 person to unload. Tailgate and residential deliveries are also available at an extra cost. Please specify your preference when placing and confirming the order.

Standard Packing Practice

All equipments is assembled, inspected and tested before it is prepared for shipping out. The equipment will be packed on skids, bolted down if needed and wrapped with pieces of cardboards to protect the equipment.  The usual practice is to disassemble, but not to completely break the equipment items down, such that you the customer will spend a minimum amount of time assembling the equipment.  This practice is to provide a balance between lower volume, cost effective shipping and ease of assembling the equipment.  It is also to provide efficient shipping that accommodates the guidelines provided by the carrier.  Some equipment items will be required to be shipped fully assembled. Most of the assembly required will be fairly simple and light. The parts and components will be labelled.  For successful assembly, please match the parts and put them together following the order provided by the labelling.  If any further assistance is required. Please contact us; we will be happy to provide assistance.   

Please notify us if you prefer any other means or methods of packing and shipping and we shall try our best to accommodate your preference.

General

Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. does everything in our power to ensure that customers receive their equipment orders as quickly as possible.  We will also work to ensure the shipping method and carrier is the most cost effective. 

Depending on your location, additional shipping options such as morning or evening deliveries may be available for additional costs. We will provide an ETA (estimated time of arrival) based on each shipping option chosen.  Please note: the estimated time of arrival is just an estimate and does not guarantee that the shipment(s) will arrive exactly on that date.

Order tracking functionality is available on the website, once an order is created and finalized

Remote Areas

Remote areas are defined as being outside of the standard service routes of our carriers. Orders being sent to remote Canadian, USA, or International locations may be subject to an additional shipping charge, which may vary depending on size and weight of the product(s) being shipped. Please note that if you are making an online order from a remote area the shipping cost you see may not always be accurate. In those situations Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. will obtain the exact shipping costs associated to that particular order and contact the customer before proceeding with the order so the customer can be aware of any additional shipping costs prior to the order being shipped.

Multi-Box/Skid Shipments

In certain cases the warehouse is able to package certain items together. For example, should you receive 4 boxes or skids when you have ordered 7 items, it does not necessarily mean that any items are missing. It simply means the warehouse was able to package all 7 items onto 4 boxes or skids. Please always open your packages before calling or emailing about a missing product(s) to make sure nothing is actually missing.

Damaged Items Due to Shipping

If an item arrives and the package is visibly damaged, please REFUSE THE SHIPMENT.  Take a photo if possible and make a note with the carrier. Please email details to:  info@fortisequipment.com

Restrictions

Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. does not ship to PO boxes as the shipping companies we work with do not deliver any packages unless they are being shipped to a physical address. If your billing information is tied to a PO Box, please provide your physical address in the billing section when placing the order. Please also make sure that your physical address is on your file with your credit card company so that should we need to verify, the information will match and we can proceed with the shipping.

Returns & Refunds

All merchandise for return must be in new condition and adequately packaged for shipping.  In order to return a product, you must obtain a return authorization number. To do so, please email info@fortisequipment.com with the following information:

Subject line:  Request for a Return Authorization Number

Body of e-mail:  Please include your full name, order number and reason for return request

Shipping costs associated to the return are the customer’s responsibility. However, in the event that we have shipped an incorrect item, Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. will be responsible to cover shipping and handling costs.

Please note: by simply sending an item back, we do not guarantee a refund or replacement.   Authorized refunds may take up to 30 days.

Cancelling an Order

As long as your order is pending and has not left our warehouse, you may email info@fortisequipment.com to cancel the order. You must receive an emailed confirmation that your order has in fact been cancelled in order to cancel an order. A cancellation may not be done through e-mail or voicemail without an emailed confirmation by us.  Once an order has been processed, our standard return and refund policy applies.

Backordered Items

If you choose to add a backordered item to your order, Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. will determine how to proceed with that particular order depending on the size and weight of the backordered item(s):

In some cases, especially if the item is particularly small, the full amount of the order will be charged and all of the items, minus the backordered item will be shipped out according to our regular schedule. Through email, we will provide you with an ETA for the backordered item and ship that item out once it becomes available at the later date. There will be no additional shipping costs.

If the backordered item is a larger or heavy item, and affects the shipping cost dramatically, Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. will wait until the backordered product is available and in stock. At that point, we will proceed to charge and ship the full order.

Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. diligently tries to avoid any and all backorders and we update our website daily to keep our customers informed of any products that are currently unavailable.  These occurrences, if and when they occur are most often due to short term shortages of raw materials or component parts related to the fabrication of our equipment.  We will try our best to provide an ETA on backordered items but unfortunately it is not always possible to provide an exact date for the arrival of the out of stock item(s).

Warranty Parts & Defective Items

If a shipped item arrives and it appears to be damaged, please email specific details, pictures, etc to info@fortisequipment.com  If you deem an item to be defective, DO NOT simply send it back to us. Send pictures, videos and a detailed explanation to info@fortisequipment.com and Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. will be responsible to assess and evaluate the situation to make sure that the item is defective and not improperly assembled or misused.

Fortis Fitness Equipment Inc. reserves the right to (i) send parts and (ii) replace a defective part.
